Choa Saidan Shah MC is an administratively
subdivision of Chakwal District in the Punjab province of
Pakistan. The MC is subdivided into 7 Wards. Choa
Saiden Shah is a small town and MC of Chakwal District in
the Punjab Province of Pakistan, it is located at 32°43'0N
72°59'0E with an altitude of 676 metres (2221 feet).Located 35 kilometres south of Chakwal on the Chakwal-Khewra Road, placed in an
idyllic bowl shaped valley, surrounded by lush green hills. This
attractive town, six kilometres from Katas, is named after the saint
Saidan Shah Shirazi and is nestled at the foot of a valley. The
legend goes that the area was a desert until the holy man arrived,
when he struck the ground with his staff and sweet water sprang up
(‘Choa’ means ‘spring’). The saint’s shrine is set back from the
main bazaar in a courtyard, and the annual urs is held in April. The
town is surrounded by trees and orchards, and is famous for its
roses and perfumes.

Government of Punjab has established new local government
system under the Punjab Local
Government Act (PLGA) 2013 after dissolving PLGO 2001. The
Administrator and Vice Administrator
have joined their offices and new local government system
has started functioning.
